Vegas
I had wonderful intentions to take a lot of photos in Vegas on Sunday. Unfortunately, our flights back to Cleveland were affected by the East Coast Blizzard and we spent much of Sunday in the Vegas airport trying to standby on flights. Every trip is a learning experience. My husband and I decided that we will never book the same flight again when we are traveling without Brendon to increase our odds of one of us getting home. Vegas taught us to attempt to increase the odds in our favor.
We stayed at the Paris (pictured here) and the Westin (thank you, Priceline.) Both were nice enough, nothing spectacular. The Westin was just off the strip and was a much smaller/quieter/less smokey hotel with a tiny casino. I think that I may be disenchanted with hotels as a general rule and Vegas seemed to be all about the hotels.

The photo below shows just how dim the lights are in the Paris casino at all times. Their goal is for you to not know what time of day it is. So, the ceilings are painted with blue skies (day) but the lamp posts are always on (night.) It was very disorienting...mission accomplished by the casino.

We are glad to be home, almost over our jet lag and getting back into the swing of things. Tomorrow starts the emailing frenzy to get back on track...
