Every year our Persian kitty, Freya, grows a superfine coat of hair that ends up knotted and matted.  After her "lion cut" (they shave everything but her head and tail) she's cold.  So, I being the good Kitty Mom that I am, bought her a warm coat.  She is not in love with it.  I am hoping that she warms up to it because I am getting tired of my eight pound tumor (aka Freya.)  She might be cold but she produces a lot of heat when she is curled up on my lap!
