Lewis Family Adventures-Part Deux
Derek and I headed North to Canada for the second half of our summer adventure. We visited Niagara On the Lake in Ontario and stayed at the Shaw Club. The hotel had bikes to rent to aid in touring the wineries of the region...a little rain and my out of shape quads did not going to stop us from biking 10+ miles. The map of the wineries we got at the hotel was not to scale so we to stop and make sure that we were heading the right direction. Derek was in charge of map reading and I was in charge of photo taking.

Ominous clouds didn't stop us! We got totally soaked traveling from Innskillin to Caroline Cellars

Our favorite winery of the day was Stratus. Neither of us are big fans of ice wine but we really enjoyed visiting the winery and talking to the hosts. It is a very interesting place to stop and sip.

The wine tasting bar at Stratus.

After our long day of biking and wine tasting we went to the Falls View Casino. Neither of us are big gamblers (I won a couple of bucks playing video poker and immediately cashed out...we are a casino's nightmare customers) so we played some games and then walked around the resort to take in the sights. It was fun for an evening.

Toronto is a beautiful city. We enjoyed walking around the city and taking in the sights. (As you might of guessed by now, a vacation for us means seeing a lot of sights in a short period of time.) The Hydro Building looked stunning in the sun. I waited for the wind to blow the Canadian flag just right but it never happen.

The CN Tower was a highlight of the trip.

The visitor to the tower take photos looking down while standing on the glass floor of the observation deck.

I joined the herd...that's my foot in the lower right.

Finally, the Hockey Hall of Fame. Derek could have spent 3 days here admiring the relics of the NHL. He spared me and only stopped in the gift shop.

All in all, our driving trips were a blast!

What a wonderful trip. Jen said you all had fun in JAX, also. Your little boy must be really growing.
We are anxious to see Jenny pg, later this week.
