Rock-N-Tot

I had the unique opportunity to attend the Rock-N-Tot event in Cleveland at the Velvet Dog in the warehouse district on Saturday.  The theory behind Rock-N-Tot is simple...take your kids to *a place usually reserved for adults* during the day.  It's a throw back to the days before kids came along.  My sister was in town for a visit so, she, Derek, Brendon and I all went to the event together.  I got to play double duty as "Brendon's Mom" and "photographer for the event."

All three floors of the bar were utilized.  The first floor had food and activities.

Live Band...Christian McFee & Tim Burrows

T.A.T.S.  Temporary Airbrush Tattoo Station.  These guys were a huge hit and worked hard for the entire time we were at the event.

Richard, of RW Magic performed for the kids.  Watching the expressions of the little ones was hilarious.

Books and crayons were available for the kiddos who wanted a break from dancing.

The second floor was for dancing, twister and games.  Brendon loved the houla hoops, disco lights and dance platforms.  We are hoping that he learned some of his Aunt Erin's dance moves as Derek and I are hopeless when it comes to dancing.

This little boy was an expert houla hooper.

The third floor was for the crawlers.  This was a really good idea for keeping the excited walkers from trampling the littlest party goers.

On our drive home we all agreed that the event was fun for everyone.  (Brendon slept an extra hour last night after being so exhausted from running around.)  The kids were all very well behaved and the adults seemed to be having a good time with their little ones. One of the many cute pieces of swag you got for attending the event were Dwink boxes (pictured below.)  No more volcano-like Capri Sun pouches!!!!
