Little Margaux

Life often throws us little surprises.  Miss Margaux decided four weeks early that she was ready to meet her family.  Margaux was a perfect sleepy angel for the entire photo session and woke up just in time to meet her paternal grandparents.  Many tears were shed during their meeting.

If I had to choose just one photo from their session to be my favorite, the first image would be it, hands down...the expressions and the sense of contentment in this image warms my heart.  For the photographers reading along, the ISO here was at 2500 (love the 7d for that!)

Fall Roundup - Part I

This Fall I had the opportunity to photograph so many wonderful families.  Here's just a small sampling of all the wonderful people I had a chance to work with this past October and November

The Letter P

The last of my alphabet inspired blog posts revolves around the letter P.  Krista, Steve, Elena and Kayla pose for the PERFECT family photo.

PUDGY baby cheeks - yum!

The Letter S

Bear with me for another alphabet post.  This time, the letter S seemed to dominate the session.

It's always so funny how babies exert their independence once they become mobile.  Here, Sadie seems to be saying, SEE YA!

Dad had a chance to catch up with her, though.  Here, Scott and Sadie are practicing her STANDING.

STEADY now

Here Lindsey and Sadie take a break for SNUGGLING

Finally, a beautiful SCENIC family photo

The Letter B

As I looked over my session photos of Bella , I realized that there was a theme.  The letter B seemed quite prominent.

First, Bella has the most gorgeous BABY BLUE eyes.  Seriously mesmerizing.

Like most toddlers, Bella moves from one thing to another with great enthusiasm!  The next B, the BALL pit is always a sure hit.

Bella is always BUSY.  Here she is organizing her books and puzzles.  She reminds me of a little toddler at the office.  Love it.

B is for BEAR and the cute BUTTONS on her BROWN polka dotted jumper.

Lastly, Bella was a great sport and allowed me to take some photos of her outside.  To do this, she needed to be BUNDLED up.  BRRRRR

Nemo & The Crazy Camera Lady

Every year when I was a kid we would visit the "crazy neighbor with her camera" while trick or treating...I became that lady today.  At the 11th hour I decided to set up a little photobooth in my driveway so that kids take pics with their friends.  Most of the teenagers looked at me like I was nuts (crazy camera lady wants us to do "what"?  "why?")  The folks that played along with me and allowed me to snap a quick pic can view their photo by click on the words "VIEW MY PHOTO" below. You can right click on the photos to open them in a new window and save them.

Brendon was Nemo and my test subject for the photobooth this year.  His lucky fin helped him to swim around the neighborhood and carry his heavy pumpkin full of candy back home.

Happy Halloween!

Fast Cars And Fall

Phyllis and Bill will be celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary this coming June.  They decided it was a great time to take some photos together and I couldn't agree more.  Over the last 45 years, they have done a lot together but they also have interesting separate hobbies.  Bill joked with me that his son was going to give him a hard time if he took a photo with his 'baby' (aka his Porsche).  Sorry Bill, a hard time is coming your way!

When Bill isn't zooming around town in his car, he slows down to enjoy some quality time with Phyllis.

Phyllis is a nature lover and shared with me that she particularly likes owls.

Still holding hands after 45 years.  This is what love should be like.

I couldn't help but add one more of Bill...his smile makes my day!  VROOM!
